Telehealth (Counseling and Prescriptions)
Telepsychology services (also known as Teletherapy) is a form of psychological service provided via secure internet technology. It has the same purpose or intention as psychotherapy or psychological treatment sessions that are conducted face-to-face at the offices of Life Changes Group. Due to the nature of the technology used, telepsychology services may be experienced somewhat differently than face-to-face treatment sessions. Telepsychology involves arranging an appointment time with the client at their computer and the psychological service provider interfacing from their computer via the internet. At Life Changes Group, we use Doxy.Me, a HIPAA-compliant, state of the art telemedicine service. You will only need access to a computer, tablet, or cell phone, and your provider’s Doxy.me web link, to receive the benefits of this service.
Just like in-office treatment, online Telepsychology will be a session of a designated length (e.g., 45 or 53 minutes). Your provider will schedule a specific weekly time and you will be provided a link to click at the designated appointment time. Please keep in mind to choose a quiet, private area to engage in Telepsychology. Keep a telephone nearby, and the phone extension of your Life Changes Group clinician, in case you experience technical difficulties that interfere with treatment. Phone extensions are available here:
