Dr. Marcia Rabinowits received her MS in mental health counseling from UMass Boston and her Psy.D from Spalding University, KY. Dr. Rabinowits completed her clinical internship at the Seven Counties Internship Consortium in Louisville KY. She then completed a two year post-doctoral fellowship at McLean Hospital – Obsessive-Compulsive institute (OCDI).
Dr. Rabinowits is originally from Brazil and speaks Portuguese and Spanish. She has vast experience working with the adult population in a variety of settings (residential, inpatient, outpatient, counseling center, community mental health and in home). Dr. Rabinowits has special interest in Anxiety disorders and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder as well as working with a multicultural or diverse population.
Dr. Rabinowits is trained in Cognitive-Behavior therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as well as on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In addition to her work at Life Changes Group, Dr. Rabinowits is a staff psychologist at McLean Hospital –OCD Institute and treats people struggling with severe OCD symptoms in a residential setting.
Furthermore, Dr. Rabinowits is a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and supervises Master’s and post-doctoral level clinicians.
