Life Changes Group is pleased to offer group psychotherapy opportunities to our clients. Group psychotherapy provides individuals with a supportive environment that allows for shared experiences and perspectives that can be a wonderful supplement to individual therapy or as a stand alone treatment. Topics include cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety, cognitive behavioral therapy for depression, mindfulness based stress reduction, and other programs aimed at meeting the varying needs of our clients. Current offerings are based on what is of greatest need to our communities and clients. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety
Life Changes Group will begin offering a 16-week CBT group for all anxiety disorders beginning in the Fall of 2012 on Thursday evenings from 8-9pm. This group will address the core symptoms of panic and anxiety and offer valuable tools for coping with these experiences in everyday life. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Social Anxiety
Social anxiety is defined as nervousness, physical discomfort, and an overwhelming desire to avoid many types of social encounters. At the heart of social anxiety is the fear of being negatively evaluated or judged by people. Life Changes Group is offering a 16-week group focused on managing the negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors associated with Social Anxiety disorder.
